Search continues for dog stolen with car in Blind Bight

Police are hoping to reunite a dog with its owner after it was taken during a theft in Blind Bight on Saturday (22 June).

It is understood the victim, an 85-year-old man, had parked his car outside a milk bar on Anchorage Drive about 8.30am.

When he went back out, he noticed his Suzuki SUV had been stolen.

His nine-year-old beagle Millie had been inside the car at the time.

The vehicle was located on 24 June on Warrigal Road in Bentleigh.

A 38-year-old woman from Hampton East was arrested in Bayside and has been released pending further enquiries.

Millie still remains missing.
