Police are currently searching for Matthew Goodwin who escaped from the low security section of Port Augusta Prison tonight.
Police were alerted to the incident just before 8.30pm on Tuesday 25 December, when he was seen running south of the prison.
Goodwin (pictured) is 25-years-old and described as about 170cms, slim build with black hair. He was last seen wearing green tracksuit pants and a maroon coloured t-shirt.
Anyone with information on Matthew Goodwin’s whereabouts of possible sightings is advised not to approach him but to contact the police assistance line on 131 444 or in an emergency triple zero (000).
