Search for missing Dargaville man continues

Northland Police continue to search for Dargaville man, Saxzin Steedman, who was reported missing more than three weeks ago.

Saxzin, 22, was last seen leaving Cranley Street on Tuesday 30 June at about 4pm and has not been heard from since then.

Detective Senior Sergent Shane Pilmer, Northland CIB, says there will be an increased Police presence in the Dargaville area today as the search continues.

“Police Search and Rescue and Land SAR teams will be conducting extensive searches, focusing around the Northern Wairoa Bridge area.

“The search will involve specialist teams on foot, as well as a drone.

“Unfortunately, Saxzin has not been found and Police and his family continue to appeal for any information that could help us find him.”

At the time he went missing, Saxzin was believed to be wearing black pants, a black sweatshirt and red shoes.

“It is very unusual for Saxzin to not be in contact with anyone for this long, and Police and his loved ones have serious concerns for his welfare.”

If you have seen Saxzin or know his whereabouts or movements, or have any footage, please call 105 and reference file number 260702/0678.
