Search for stolen vehicle after Rouse Hill break in, pursuit across Sydney’s west, NSW

Police are appealing for information after a vehicle stolen during a break in was involved in a pursuit across Sydney’s west early this morning.

Between 3am and 3.20am (Saturday 2 March 2019), police were called to a home on Milford Drive, Rouse Hill, after reports of a home invasion.

Personal items, glassware, cash, and a Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG parked in the driveway were stolen.

Two occupants were home at the time, however, they were not approached or injured.

A short time later, about 3.40am, the Mercedes was sighted by police on Luxford and Daniels roads, Bidwill, and a pursuit commenced which travelled through Mt Druitt, Whalan, Minchinbury, and Eastern Creek.

Just before 4am (Saturday 2 March 2019), a police vehicle attached to Nepean Police Area Command involved in the pursuit crashed at the intersection of Wainwright and Luxford roads, Whalan.

The driver and sole occupant, a male sergeant, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he was not injured.

The vehicle sustained significant damage.

Detectives from The Hills Police Area Command are investigating the break in and would like to speak to two males, described only as being of Caucasian appearance, who they believe can assist them with their inquiries.

Anyone with information about the vehicle, described as a white Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG hatchback with NSW registration CWU 85A, is urged not to approach the vehicle, but contact police immediately.
