Search for Zane East after police car rammed at Bendigo

Police are searching for Numurkah man Zane East after a police car was rammed at Bendigo on Tuesday 3 December.

Bendigo police were making enquiries at a Cornish Street address when a silver Lancer rammed the police car about 3pm.

Officers inside the police car were not injured.

The driver of the Lancer, believed to be Zane East, fled the scene.

Police were on Derwent Drive in Long Gully the following day when they observed the same man, exit a red stolen Gemini sedan about 12.40pm.

He was with two other males when they ran from police.

Police air wing and K9 units searched the area and arrested two men.

East is still outstanding along with the silver Lancer.

Investigators have released an image of 23-year-old Zane East in the hope someone knows of his current whereabouts.
