Second man arrested after shooting in Rosemeadow

A second person has been charged with shoot with intent to murder after a man arrived at Campbelltown Hospital with a gunshot wound to his right shoulder last year.

Detectives attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command established Strike Force Veda to investigate the circumstances after the man was injured at Malcolm Way, Rosemeadow on Saturday 25 May 2019.

Officers attached to the Strike Force arrested a 25-year-old man at a unit on O’Sullivan Rd, Leumeah on Thursday 25 June 2020.

He was charged with shoot at with intent to murder and discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He remains before the courts.

About 12.15pm today (Monday July 2020), a 22-year-old-man attended Campbelltown Police Station where he was arrested.

He was charged with shoot at with intent to murder, discharge firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and fire firearm manner likely to injure persons.

He appeared at Campbelltown Local Court where he was formally refused bail to reappear again tomorrow (Tuesday 14 July 2020).

Investigations are continuing.
