A second pedestrian has died following a crash at Lakemba last month.
Just before 1pm on Tuesday 28 July 2026, emergency services were called to The Boulevarde, Lakemba, following reports two pedestrians had been struck by a vehicle.
A 43-year-old woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Liverpool hospital, while a 64-year-old man was taken to St George Hospital.
At the time, both were reported to be in a critical condition.
The driver – an 82-year-old man – was treated by paramedics and has been taken to hospital for further assessment and mandatory testing.
Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the crash.
On Monday 3 August 2026, police were notified that the 43-year-old woman died in hospital.
Police have today (Monday 24 August 2026), been informed that the 64-year-old man died in hospital.
Inquiries by the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit into the circumstances of the crash continue.
