A second person has died following a single vehicle crash in Thomastown this morning.
Emergency services were called to Victoria Drive following reports a car had crashed into a power pole, about 7.20am.
The male driver of the vehicle, sustained life-threatening injuries and later died in hospital.
He is yet to be formally identified.
His passenger, a woman yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
