The Tasmanian Government has appointed Shane Gregory as the Secretary of Building Tasmania.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff said Mr Gregory brought extensive leadership experience across both the public and private sectors, having held senior executive and management roles in Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.
“Shane has made a significant contribution to the Tasmanian State Service throughout his career and has already demonstrated strong leadership during the establishment Building Tasmania,” Premier Rockliff said.
“Our Government is focussed on supercharging delivery across the State and Building Tasmania is leading this charge.
“I congratulate Shane on his appointment and look forward to continuing to work with him as we deliver positive outcomes for Tasmanians.”
Mr Gregory’s career has included senior positions with Downer EDI, the Department of State Growth, the Department of Premier and Cabinet, and the Department of Health.
He has also held statutory appointments in Tasmania and contributed to a range of national and state intergovernmental, executive and governance committees.
Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Kerry Vincent, said Mr Gregory provides strong leadership as Building Tasmania continues its organisational transformation.
“Shane has played a key role in implementing Building Tasmania,” Minister Vincent said.
“His expertise in infrastructure and transport delivery, together with his experience leading complex reform programs, will be a tremendous asset to the agency and the broader government.
“Building Tasmania will deliver the infrastructure Tasmania needs for the future, and ensure better outcomes for communities across our State.
“I congratulate Shane on his appointment and wish him every success in the role.”
