Seeking community input: Draft Reconciliation Action Plan 2021-2023

The City of Stonnington is seeking the community’s feedback on its draft Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2021-2023 which outlines Council’s vision, actions and commitment to reconciliation.

The draft RAP plan will ensure that we continue to plan and create opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to create a culturally safe and thriving city.

It focuses on four key areas:

  • respect
  • relationships
  • opportunities
  • governance.

The draft RAP follows the Reconciliation Australia ‘Innovate’ template which provides the structure, mandatory focus areas and a majority of the actions.

In developing the draft RAP plan, Council worked closely with Reconciliation Australia, Traditional Owners and local community groups.
