A police officer has been charged following an investigation by Professional Standards Command.
The Senior Sergeant from Southern Metro region has been charged with one count of indecent assault.
The charge relates to an incident in 2009.
He has been summonsed to appear at court at a later date.
The officer has been suspended with pay.
