The Victorian Seniors Festival returns in 2021 as an online and radio showcase of Victorian entertainers, celebrities and notables.

The Festival program features returning favourites and intriguing new events in a variety of genres. The In Conversation series focusses on cross-generational collaborations. In ‘A recipe for a good life’ Elizabeth Chong, well-known celebrity chef and her granddaughter Teresa Duddy, award-winning soprano, chat about the ups and downs of their careers and lives.

Seniors can listen to the inaugural Victorian Seniors Festival Reimagined podcasts: Women, Arts and Activism. This series reveals historical events that left lasting impressions on women from around the world who now live in Australia. These are stories of social inclusion and cultural diversity.

Ross Skiffington and Sam Angelico invite seniors on a walk down memory lane when they perform magic acts from their days at the Last Laugh Comedy Club in Melbourne.

Radio Plays includes Matriarch, written by Sandy Greenwood, First Nations actor and playwright, brings to life the matriarchs of her family and celebrates their strength. Lux Radio Theatre presents Fergus Hume’s Victorian classic, The Mystery of a Hansom Cab.

There’s plenty of music on offer with Festival newcomer David Arden performing original songs from his latest release ‘Red Desert Man’.
