Hobsons Bay’s older residents are spoilt for choice with a plethora of free online activities to choose from as part of the Hobsons Bay Seniors Festival, which runs for the month of October.

The festival kicks off on Monday 5 October at 11am with wellness coach Maggie Flanagan sharing her tips to look after your mind, body and soul to ensure you have a healthier, happier isolation experience.

Get your dancing shoes on while you jazz with Peter and Julie from Ultra Fox Duet on Monday 12 October at 11am and join an acoustic rehearsal led by Gaelle Horsley and Ric Peck on Tuesday 20 October at 7.30pm.

Reminisce with the Williamstown Swimming & Lifesaving Club on Tuesday 20 October at 6.30pm, as they present 100 years and 100 stories to celebrate their 100th birthday.

History enthusiasts will be captivated hearing about the fateful day the Westgate Bridge collapsed from members of the Westgate Bridge Memorial Committee on Tuesday 6 October at 6pm.

For bird watchers, join Council’s Conservation Rangers for an interactive presentation on Shorebirds in Hobsons Bay on Thursday 15 October at 10am.

Family members young and old are invited to an Extended Family Storytime with guest presenter Claire Saxby on Thursday 8 October at 10.30am.

For the fastest-growing demographic using online dating websites, there is also an Online Dating for Seniors session on Thursday 15 October at 10am.
