A sergeant from North West Metro region has been charged with assault.
The charges are a result of an incident in a north-eastern suburb of Melbourne whilst on duty on 20 March 2021.
The 57-year-old man has been charged with one count of unlawful assault.
He has been summoned to appear at court at a later date.
