Police are investigating a violent incident in Loganlea this morning.
At around 3 am a man was walking along Coral Street, when he was attacked from behind by more than one offender, who struck him around the head, back and hands with a weapon before stealing his phone and wallet.
The 36-year-old man received serious head injuries and received treatment at the Logan Hospital.
Investigators are requesting anyone with information to contact police.
