Serious assault appeal in Inala, QLD

Acacia Ridge detectives are appealing for vision and further information which may assist with investigations into the serious assault of a 24-year-old man in Inala overnight.

Around 6.30pm police were called following multiple reports of a man being assaulted by a small group of people believed to be armed with baseball bats in parklands off Rosemary Street.

The man was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening head injuries.

A 23-year-old man was arrested in the vicinity shortly afterwards and was taken to the Richlands Watchhouse where he is assisting investigators with their inquiries.

Those involved are believed to be known to each other.

Police are investigating whether the assault is related to an earlier incident, where a vehicle was damaged at a Biota Street residence.
