Serious assault investigationin Brisbane City

Brisbane detectives are investigating following an altercation between three teenagers in Brisbane City last night.

Preliminary information suggests two boys approached a 15-year-old in the Queen Street Mall just before 8pm.

A verbal argument ensued, and the pair threw the boy to the ground, kicked him and sat on him before running from the scene.

Police and emergency services treated the teenager at the scene before transporting him to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with serious injuries.

A boy from Slacks Creek and a boy from Redbank Plains, both aged fifteen are currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the assault, and has not spoken to officers, or has information in relation to this investigation, to contact police.
