A man is in a critical condition following a serious assault at Modbury this afternoon.
Just after 3pm on Thursday police and SAAS officers were called to Victoria Drive after reports a man was assaulted by two men on pushbikes.
The victim, a man aged in his 60s, suffered critical head injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
One suspect is described as being of Aboriginal appearance with a slim build, wearing a white singlet, dark coloured shorts and a white baseball cap. He was riding a white mountain bike.
The second suspect is described as being a Caucasian man wearing a black singlet and blue denim shorts. He was riding a green/blue coloured pushbike.
