Emergency services are at the scene of an aggravated assault at Tintinara.
About 6.45am Friday 14 January emergency services were called to the Dukes Highway near Judd Road after the driver of a taxi reported that he had been stabbed by his female passenger.
When police arrived at the scene the suspect was still inside the taxi, she has been placed under arrest. The victim was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The woman is expected to be charged later this morning. The taxi will be towed and forensically examined. Take car if you are driving through the area as emergency services remain at the scene.
