Serious car and pedestrian incident at Brendale, QLD

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating following a serious car and pedestrian incident at Brendale this morning, September 22.

Initial investigations indicate just before 11am, a Hyundai i30 was reversing at a Demarco Court property when it struck a pedestrian before travelling across the road and colliding with a fence.

The pedestrian, an 86-year-old Brendale man, sustained critical injuries and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

The driver, an 81-year-old Brendale woman, was treated for minor injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has any information that could help police, is urged to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
