Serious crash at Currimundi, QLD

A man has received head injuries as a result of being struck by a vehicle at Currimundi this morning.

Initial investigations indicate the collision occurred at around 4am on Nicklin Avenue, when the vehicle was travelling north and the male pedestrian attempted to cross the road.

The injured man was subsequently transported from the scene to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital for medical treatment.

He remains in a serious but stable condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
