Serious traffic crash appeal in Belmont, QLD

Police are calling for witnesses to come forward, especially those with dashcam vision, following a serious traffic crash in Belmont at the weekend.

Investigators are particularly keen to speak with the driver of a silver vehicle (pictured below) that was in the immediate vicinity of the crash as the driver may have witnessed the collision or seen one of the vehicles involved, a black Hyundai Accent immediately prior to Sunday’s crash.

At approximately 2.45am on November 27, a black 2013 Hyundai Accent and grey 2020 Mitsubishi Outlander collided along Old Cleveland Road near Mount Petrie Road.

The 27-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai was transported to hospital with critical injuries.

The 22-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the Mitsubishi was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Police are appealing to any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision of the incident to come forward.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the crash is being urged to come forward.
