Serious traffic crash at Goomboorian, QLD

Queensland Police are investigating a serious traffic crash that occurred at Goomboorian near Gympie in the early hours of this morning.

Around 2.45am police were called to Tin Can Bay Road after a Mitsubishi Pajero left the road, hit a drain and rolled on to its roof.

The 17-year-old male driver from Cooloola Cove sustained back injuries and was taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.

A 13-year-old male passenger from Caloundra West sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.

A 15-year-old male passenger also from Cooloola Cove sustained minor injuries and was taken to Gympie Hospital in a stable condition.

Forensic Crash officers are investigating and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam that could assist to come forward.
