Seventh person charged over “Dial-a-Dealer” syndicate, NSW

A seventh person has been charged by Redfern Region Enforcement Squad (RES) over her alleged involvement in an alleged “Dial-a-Dealer” syndicate.

In September 2017, detectives from Redfern RES established Strike Force Northrop to investigate and target the ongoing supply of cocaine within the Central Metropolitan Region.

In May 2019, strike force detectives arrested and charged 55 people during a targeted proactive operation into “Dial-a-Dealer” services operating throughout Sydney’s CBD and Eastern Suburbs.

During the operation, officers received information about the activities of a sophisticated organised criminal network involved in facilitating and directing the supply of prohibited drugs through a “Dial-a-Dealer” service.

Four men – two aged 28 and two aged 29 – and two women – aged 24 and 27 – have been charged and remain before the courts.

Following further investigations, officers arrested a 24-year-old woman at a unit in North Bondi just before 1pm yesterday (Thursday 7 November 2019).

She was taken to Kings Cross Police Station where she was charged with participate in criminal group contribute criminal activity, take part supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (x2), and found on/entering/leaving drug premises.

Police will allege in court that the woman was involved in the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney between August and October 2019.

She was refused bail to appear at the Central Local Court today (Friday 8 November 2019).

Investigations under Strike Force Northrop are continuing.
