Officers from the Sex Offender Management Squad (SOMS) commenced an investigation into a man’s activities after receiving information relating to his activities whilst he was practicing as a psychiatrist between 2012 and 2016.
During this investigation officers identified a further nine victims. Several search warrants were executed at addresses relating to the man and various items seized.
A 47-year-old man from Success has been charged with:
• Seven counts of Indecent Dealings with a Child under 13 years; and
• Two counts of Indecent Dealings with a Child over 13 and under 16 years.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court (Northbridge) today, 11 December 2021.
