Sexual assault charge in Booval, QLD

Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch detectives have charged a man following an alleged sexual assault in Booval last month.

Investigators will allege around 2.45pm on Sunday November 27, a 59-year-old Karana Downs man approached a local woman on South Station Road near the intersection with Sloman Street and inappropriately touched her before fleeing the scene in a faded green 2000 Holden Rodeo tray back utility.

Detectives took the man into custody without incident at his residence this morning (Thursday December 8), after executing a search warrant.

He was charged with one count of sexual assault and was granted police bail, with strict reporting conditions.

He will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday January 16.

Police are appealing for anyone with any further information in relation this incident or any other incident involving anyone associated with this vehicle to make a report to police.
