Police and emergency services were called to Seymour this morning following report a car had struck a tree.
It is believed the car was travelling north on the Goulburn Valley Highway when it left the roadway and struck a tree near the Hume Freeway interchange.
At this stage it’s unclear what time the collision occurred; emergency services were called just prior to 6.15am.
The male driver and sole occupant of the car died at the scene.
