Police are at the scene of a shark incident at Westall on the Eyre Peninsula.
About 7.10pm on Thursday 2 January, emergency services were called to an area on the beach known as the Granites, near Westall Way Loop after reports that a surfer had been attacked by a shark.
A search is currently underway for the person.
The beach is closed to the public and please avoid the area.
