Shields Street tunes into a musical showcase

Visitors to Shields Street on Sunday will be taken on a musical journey by young and emerging artists from CQUniversity.

Join the excitement of Sunday on Shields this weekend when CQUniversity Creative Arts students present Art Attack from 11am-3pm.

A showcase of young, emerging and submerging local artists, Art Attack will take audiences on a journey through different and original music genres.

The sixth in an 11-week program, Shields Street will come to life from 11am to 8pm with a full program of entertainment that also includes free face painters and glitter art, market stalls, Zumba in the City and live music from atop Miss Nemo the Kombi.

Plus, Cairns Museum will be open this Sunday from 10am to 2pm (fees apply).

Those heading into the CBD are reminded there is free parking is available on-street and at the Lake Street multi-storey carpark on Sundays.
