Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre’s Free Play Day

To celebrate the opening of the Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre, the Centre will be holding a ‘Free Play Day’. The state of the art $14 million facility is opening its doors for the first time on Monday 14 October 2019, to allow residents to try out the new facilities.

Residents can try their hand at Futsal, Basketball and Netball, which will be set up for the day. This will be a real experience for keen players, with the main court offering attendees the chance to play on a court built to international Netball and Basketball court standards.

Mayor Amanda Findley is looking forward to the open day and is hoping to see residents taking advantage of the free day.

“Shoalhaven City Council is holding a free sporting experience to celebrate the completion of the Indoor Sports Centre.” Mayor Amanda Findley said.

“Residents can simply turn up on the day and join in a free game of Futsal, Basketball or Netball between 9 am and 5 pm. Not only will users be able to test out the new facility, but they may also make some new like-minded friends on the day.” Clr Findley said.

There will also be a free giant jumping castle for the kids and a wide range of food and beverage options available for purchase at the new Courtside Café.
