Shot fired, Underwood 9 June

Logan detectives are investigating an incident where a shot was fired at a vehicle in Underwood last night (June 8).

Initial investigations indicate a Mitsubishi Lancer was stationary at traffic lights on Compton Road near North Road when the 18-year-old driver heard a loud bang at approximately 9pm.

The Wynnum West man pulled into a nearby service station and observed what appeared to be a bullet hole in the vehicle’s boot.

The 18-year-old man was not physically injured.

Two vehicles were seen driving away from the scene, including a dark coloured Nissan Patrol.

Police urge anyone with information, relevant dashcam footage or who saw a vehicle matching this description in the area at the time to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
