Shots fired at Elizabeth Vale home, South Australia

Police are investigating after shots were fired at an Elizabeth Vale home early this morning.

Just before 3.15am on 1 January, police were initially called to Wallace Road after reports a black BMW collided with a parked car. The occupants abandoned the car and ran off.

While patrols were in the street investigating the crash, they were alerted to an incident where shots had been fired at a home.

Police discovered what appeared to be bullet holes in the front of the home as well as in a vehicle parked in the driveway.

When officers conducted a search of the home, they located a stolen Harley Davidson with false plates attached in the rear shed.

Northern District Detectives are investigating and Crime Scene Investigators have attended to examine the scene.

Although it is early in the investigation, police do not believe this is a random incident.

Links between the hit-run crash and the shooting incident are being investigated.
