Shots fired at Nerang, QLD

Police are investigating an incident where it is alleged a shot was fired into a ride share vehicle on the Gold Coast.

Around 1.30am on August 28, a 29-year-old male ride share driver has told police after entering a round-about on Gilston Road at Nerang he was allegedly tailgated by an by an unknown silver grey sedan.

The ride share driver began to exit the roundabout heading east at which time the vehicle pulled up alongside him. The male driver of the sedan began yelling abuse before reaching down and grabbing an unknown object. The ride share driver drove away to escape the man at which time he heard a loud bang.

The ride share driver turned on to Weedons Road eventually stopping outside a school. The man inspected his vehicle and located damaged that appeared to be a bullet hole and contacted police.

The driver of the silver grey sedan is described as Caucasian, proportionate build, possibly clean shaven, wearing a black hat with an Australian accent.

The was also a female passenger in the vehicle and she is described as Caucasian, long black hair and was wearing a black dress.
