“The City of Wollongong Awards is about celebrating those who are the beating heart of the initiatives, programs and connections across our city. From young and old, creative arts to sports, one individual or a collective of people, we want to hear about them all.

“I encourage you to bring your local inspiration out from behind the scenes and nominate them by 30 November 2026. We’re looking forward to learning more about the champions who make Wollongong, Wollongong.”

In 2026, Wollongong’s Citizen of the Year was bestowed to husband and wife, Teresa Tran OAM and H Phong Le OAM who have spent more than 30 years strengthening cultural connections and supporting war veterans and widows.
