Significant drug seizure at Gold Coast

Police have charged three people with trafficking and possession of dangerous drugs charges.

Yesterday officers from Taskforce Maxima, Gold Coast executed a search warrant at a Surfers Paradise address and located a significant quantity of dangerous drugs including methylamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, liquid fantasy and prescription medication with an estimated value of $25,525.00. Police also seized $5,540.00 in cash.

Police arrested and charged a 42-year-old man (identified as a former President of the Lone Wolves OMCG), a second man aged 26 and a 30-year-old woman with a total of 28 charges including trafficking dangerous drugs, possession of dangerous drugs (above schedule), possess proceeds and possessing tainted property.

All three will appear in Southport Magistrate Court today.

“This is a great result from a group of dedicated officers determined to make the Gold Coast Community a safer place,” Acting Detective Inspector Ian Galpin said.
