Single-vehicle fatal crash near Albury, NSW

A woman has died following a single-vehicle crash near Albury yesterday.

Police have been told about 4.40pm (Thursday 17 February 2022), a Ford Falcon station wagon was travelling north along Kywong-Howlong Road, Brocklesby – about 40km north west of Albury – when the vehicle crossed the south-bound lane and left the roadway, hitting a tree.

Emergency services were called; however, the driver – a 72-year-old woman – died at the scene.

Officers attached to Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attended and established a crime scene.

As investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash continue, police are appealing for witnesses, including motorists with dashcam vision, to contact Albury Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
