Slater and Gordon Lawyers has been engaged to represent one of the women involved in the alleged sexual assaults at the Pullman Hotel at East Melbourne on the morning of Monday, 17 August 2026.
Senior Lawyer, Jackson Pannam, has been instructed by his client to investigate a potential civil claim.
“Our client has had her entire world turned upside down and is now trying to navigate an incredibly traumatic experience.”
“At Slater and Gordon, we see the profound and long-lasting impact that serious injury, loss and abuse can have on people’s lives.”
Mr Pannam said his client was the individual who contacted Police immediately following the alleged assault, and is continuing to speak with them for their investigations. Any civil claim would be separate to any criminal proceedings.
“Everyone deserves to be safe going about their life, at home, at work, and in public spaces without risk of being assaulted or harmed,” Mr Pannam said.
“We’re standing with our client to give her support at this difficult time, and to help her get the justice she deserves.”
Slater and Gordon recognises that media coverage and public discussion of sexual assault can be distressing, particularly for people with lived experience.
