Every Little Bit Helps

Small grassroots charity makes a big impact to support NSW Fire victims and the RFS by creating and distributing over 3000 personal hygiene care packs throughout fire-affected communities in NSW.

As the bushfire crisis continues to affect much of the state, one charity has been quietly supporting both bushfire affected communities and the RFS since November.

Continuing their vital work, last Sunday 40 generous individuals gave up their Sunday to sort, pack and create over 950 care packs, made up of donated hotel toiletries as well as sanitary items. These care packs were then distributed by utilising vans, trailers, trucks and boats to reach fire-affected communities early Friday morning on the South Coast at a time when the humanitarian crisis was at its peak.

This now brings the total to over 3000 personal hygiene care packs that have been distributed by the charity since November, with previous donations being made to communities in Central NSW and Northern NSW. The charity has also donated to the NSW RFS to ensure our brave firefighters have access to a toothbrush, razor and personal hygiene products while they are away from home fighting fires.

Every Little Bit Helps Founder & CEO Katryna Robinson said:

“The devastation from these unprecedented bushfires will be felt for many years to come. We send our heartfelt sympathies to everyone who has been impacted and hope that the simple gift of a care pack has been able to offer some comfort to those affected. Australia has a big heart and in times of need, it is so comforting to see so many people step forward to help those who need our support. Every Little Bit Helps will be here for those in need, now and into the future, when the bushfires are finally out.”
