SNOMED CT-AU and Australian Medicines Terminology August 2020 Release

The National Clinical Terminology Service (NCTS) is pleased to announce that the August combined release of SNOMED CT®-AU1 and the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) is now available to registered users from the NCTS website.

Third party reference sets

The following new reference sets are now available to support systems with the identification of the AMT Trade Product Unit of Use (TPUU) and Containered Trade Product Pack (CTPP) concepts that are reportable within South Australia and Queensland for Electronic Recording and Reporting of Controlled Drugs (ERRCD) requirements;

  • South Australia reportable Schedule 4 trade medications reference set.
  • Queensland Health QScript Schedule 4 monitored medicines reference set.

These complement the existing Tasmania and Victoria reportable Schedule 4 trade medications reference sets and the Schedule 8 medications reference set.
