Nominations and applications are now open for the Snowy Monaro Business Awards, returning with new categories for the first time since 2019.
For 2021 there are community-nominated and self-nominated awards across more than 20 different categories. The broad array of awards on offer this year is the only way Council organisers could accurately represent the diversity and depth of business talent and acumen in our region.
“2020 was an incredibly difficult year for businesses across Australia and around the world, but especially so for those businesses operating in traditionally tourist-centred economies like the Snowy Monaro,” said Mayor Peter Beer, Snowy Monaro Regional Council.
With applications closing on Friday 7 May 2021, businesses and the public are encouraged to get their applications and nominations in without delay.
“Our businesses deserve recognition and accolades for making it through the last 18 months. Without that ephemeral mix of courage, strength, wit and more than a little luck they wouldn’t still be here, and the Snowy Monaro is lucky to have so many incredible businesses and business-people.”
Judging will run from 10 – 16 May 2021 with finalists announced in the week of 17 May 2021.
