You can now recycle your soft plastic wrappers and bags in more places across Bayside.
The Bayside Waste and Recycling facility, located at 144 Talinga Road, Cheltenham, now has bins for your soft plastics and you can also drop them at three Woolworths supermarkets within the municipality in Black Rock, Hampton and Highett.
If you’re unsure whether an item is soft plastic, try scrunching it in your hand. Items that are soft and flexible and don’t keep their shape are generally soft plastic.
These soft plastics can’t go into your household recycling bin, so taking them to drop off locations helps to reduce waste going into landfill.
