COVID Cases in SA

There have been 2,023 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 16,389 active cases in South Australia.

Sadly, SA Health can confirm a man in his 60s who tested positive for COVID-19, has passed away.

There are 108 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 10 people in ICU, and one person requiring a ventilator. Of those hospitalised, 65 people are fully vaccinated, 39 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and four have an unknown vaccination status.

Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

    Variants

    Regular genome sampling is taken to monitor the levels of Omicron within South Australia with 100% of the latest sampling returning an Omicron result.

    COVID testing

    Currently 94.9% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine and 92.3% have received their second dose. Boosters have been administered to 69.4% of eligible South Australians and 59.4% of South Australians aged 16+.
