There have been 4,349 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 34,725 active cases in South Australia.
Sadly, SA Health can confirm one woman in her 80s, two women in their 90s, and one man in his 90s, who tested positive for COVID-19 passed away in metropolitan Adelaide.
There are 236 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 26 people in ICU and seven requiring a ventilator.
Of those hospitalised, 129 people are fully vaccinated, 34 are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and 73 have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, 110 cases from yesterday have been removed from the total number of cases.

Regular genome sampling is taken to monitor the levels of Omicron within South Australia. 81% of samples taken returned an Omicron result.

Yesterday, 18,514 people received a PCR test in South Australia, a 25.3% percent decrease on the previous 24 hours.
Currently 93.4% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine, 89.6% have received their second dose and there were 16,724 booster shots given yesterday bring the total booster shots to 329,008.
