COVID Cases in SA

There have been 2,380 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 17,076 active cases in South Australia.

Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

    Variants

    Regular genome sampling is taken to monitor the levels of Omicron within South Australia with 100% of the latest sampling returning an Omicron result.

    COVID testing

    Yesterday, 8,549 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 0.3% increase on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 1,370 PCR tests were positive, while 1,010 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.

    Vaccination update

    Currently 94.9% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine and 92.3% have received their second dose. Boosters have been administered to 69.1% of eligible South Australians and 59.6% of South Australians aged 16+.
