COVID Cases in SA
There have been 3,560 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 30,272 active cases in South Australia.
There are 245 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including 11 people in ICU, and one person requiring a ventilator. Of those hospitalised, 172 people are fully vaccinated, 72 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and one has an unknown vaccination status
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

The latest genome sampling has found around 60% of samples taken were BA.2.

COVID testing
Yesterday, 9,378 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 21% increase on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 2,136 PCR tests were positive, while 1,424 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
