COVID Cases in SA
There have been 2,788 new cases of COVID-19 reported in South Australia today. There are currently 21,386 active cases in South Australia.
Sadly, SA Health can confirm one man in his 60s, two men in their 80s, one man in his 90s, and one women in her 90s, who tested positive for COVID-19, has passed away.
There are 214 people with COVID-19 in hospital, including nine people in ICU, with one ventilated. Of those hospitalised, 119 people had received three or more vaccine doses, 91 people are either unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, and four have an unknown vaccination status.
Due to a reconfiguration of the data, the total number of cases has been readjusted.

The latest genome sampling has found around 94.9% of samples taken were BA.2.

COVID testing
Yesterday, 7,721 people received a PCR test in South Australia, which is a 19.5% decrease on the previous 24 hours. Of the test results returned yesterday, 1,537 PCR tests were positive, while 1,251 positive Rapid Antigen Test results were reported.
Vaccination update
Currently 95.5% of eligible South Australians aged 12+ have received their first dose of the vaccine and 93.5% have received their second dose. Boosters have been administered to 71.9% of eligible South Australians and 65.9% of South Australians aged 16+.
