South East Local Land Services welcomes new team member to Bombala

New Senior Biosecurity officer for the Monaro Reuben Picker with a customer

South East Local Land Services would like to introduce Reuben Picker, the new Senior Biosecurity Officer for the Monaro local area.

Hailing from the Far South Coast initially, Reuben is glad to be back east and has been getting out and about in the local area as he settles into the new role. Reuben is based out of the Bombala office and joins the team from the Western Australian Police Force.

“I’m excited to have joined Local Land Services and to be based out of Bombala”. Reuben said.

“I know that I am coming to the area at a difficult time, so I’m keen to get out and have a chat with customers and learn more about the challenges they are facing, and how I can support them in my role.”

Local Manager for the Monaro, Luke Pope, has been spending time with Reuben to help him get across his new duties.

“Reuben brings a lot of experience in working with the community, which is a really important part of our biosecurity role”. Luke said.

“We’ve been out and about getting him a feel for the area and going over some of the issues and challenges that our customers are facing at the moment, and the type of support and advice that can provide in those areas,

“He’s definitely hit the ground running.”

Reuben will be based out of the Bombala office at 106 Maybe Street and will be out and about much of the time seeing to his duties. He can be reached on
