Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) crews are on scene at multiple bushfires burning south of Bundaberg along Goodwood Road, near Elliot River. These fires broke out earlier today and are posing no threat to property at this time. All fires are contained however smoke may linger into the evening and possibly tomorrow morning. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. Residents should close windows and doors and keep their respiratory medications close by. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
