Members from Prahran Highway Patrol have impounded a vehicle after it was observed speeding in South Yarra this morning.
Officers detected a 2015 Mercedes sedan allegedly travelling at 154km/h in a 40km/h section of Toorak Road.
Police intercepted the vehicle and spoke to the driver, a 28-year-old man from Dandenong.
He underwent a preliminary breath test and then underwent an evidentiary test which returned an alleged reading of 0.053.
His car was impounded with towing costs of $896.10 and he is expected to be charged on summons with numerous traffic offences.
