The City of Canada Bay’s open green spaces are well-used and a source of pride for Council and the community.
Disappointingly, several parks and sportsfields have undergone significant damage recently due to vandals destroying turf with vehicles.
This included damage to Jessie Stewart Reserve, Cintra Park, Edwards Park, Sanders Reserve and St Lukes Park, all in Concord.
This behaviour is disappointing as it further disrupts community sports which are already under pressure due to the persistent wet weather.
Council has reported the incidents to police and will restore the grounds as soon as possible.
